Thank you for helping making IndieCon's Independent Film Financing and Distribution 1.0 a huge success. The one-day event was attended by a diverse array of independent filmmakers, producers, writers and storytellers. Moderated by IndieCon co-founder Marc Clebanoff, speakers and attendees shared in the discussion of timely issues facing filmmakers in today's economy.

One of the favorite speakers was Lonnie Ramati of Millenium Films. Fresh off the success of his company's surprise hit, The Expendables, Standing six foot nine and with a powerful voice, Lonnie could have joined Sylvestor Stallone in the cast of Expendables, but Lonnie Ramati is anything but expendable. His knowledge of the independent film industry and his expertise in financing was a treasure for all conference goers. He wowed attendees with his engaging personality and extensive knowledge of raising money for movies. When asked by an independent filmmaker how he may break into the business, Lonnie responded by saying, ''You should make as many movies as you possibly can at any budget.''

Other speakers included Wall Street veteran and CEO of StartAHedgeFund.com, Stephen Colangelo, who shared the importance of properly structuring a private placement offering for independent films. Stephen has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs raising funds for startup ventures.

We look forward to seeing you again at the next IndieCon event on September 24 when we bring you, From Script to Screen to Immortality: How to Become a BIG SHOT Hollywood Screenwriter.
